CANINE MASSAGE AT THE DOGGIE DEN
At The Doggie Den we´re committed to improving the quality of life for you and your dog. To that end, we
ensure that your pup gets plenty of exercise, affection, socialization, grooming, proper nutrition and
training. Our goal is for you and your family to have the pleasure of living with a good-looking, healthy,
relaxed, well-mannered canine companion.
We are pleased to announce an additional life-enhancing service for your dog: canine therapeutic massage.
In recent years, dog owners have developed a heightened awareness of the role of exercise, excellent nutrition
and preventive health care. We offer massage as part of this growing awareness. Massage is an important
aspect of a dog owner´s ability to increase their pet´s health, longevity and well-being. It involves
systematically applied touch and motion for the purpose of healing, improved circulation, relaxation,
and pain management. Massage can also improve your dog´s self confidence, simply because he or she feels better.
- Here are some examples of massage´s great benefits:
- Provides relaxation and stress reduction: massage helps release endorphins.
- Builds trust in human touch for dogs that have been abused.
- Increases circulation, movement of body fluids, and elimination of toxins. These things in turn increase oxygenation
and nutrition to muscle and soft tissue.
- Supports recovery from injuries and illnesses involving muscle and soft tissue.
- Eases the pain of arthritis, hip dysplasia and joint disease.
- Releases lactic acid from sore muscles, which decreases swelling and inflammation.
- Alleviates stiffness and eases spasms.
- And, of course, massage makes your dog feel good!
